Our 104 single-aisle aircraft in our fleet now feature brand-new or upgraded cabin interiors, which now operate more than 80% of our domestic and short- haul international flights, delighting over half a million passengers every week.
Our Fleet, Reimagined
Air India’s A320 family fleet is stronger than ever. We now have count of 104 single-aisle aircraft with finest onboard cabin interiors. This includes 27 retrofitted A320neo aircraft, 14 brand new A320neo aircraft, and additional aircraft integrated from Vistara after the merger. These A320 Family aircraft with upgraded cabins together operate 3,600+ weekly flights across 82 domestic and short-haul international destinations.

All upgraded aircraft now offer a three-class configuration, featuring Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, with brand-new seats, upholstery, carpets, refreshed cabin materials, advanced inflight entertainment offering, and more.

Our transformation is being noticed. Air India was honoured with the APEX Award for “Most Improved Airline”, a testament to our ongoing commitment to enhance your travel experience. The journey continues, with every flight, every innovation, and every smile on board. Our commitment to excellence is transforming our global network. Already, close to 600 of our ~1,100 weekly international flights deliver an elevated experience. We know there’s more to do, and we are hard at work upgrading or renewing the rest of our fleet. Soon, our existing Boeing 787-8 fleet will feature all-new, world-class cabins as part of a full retrofit, a key step in our global upgrade. Additionally, new wide-body aircraft with world-class cabins will begin joining the fleet by the end of this year, ensuring a premium flying experience today and in the years to come.
